Beijing Trip and Party!
![]() Hi people! I'm so back from my beijing trip! The weather there was SO cool! Just fell in love with the weather man! If only Singapore's weather was like that! We met at the airport at 6, and flew at about 8+. We had breakfast and lunch on the plane, and I watch Harry Potter, Pirates and Simpsons.Anyways, on the first day, we were meant to watch the flag lowering ceremony at Tian An Men Square, but we came out of the airport to late, so if we were to hurry to the airport, we wouldn't have caught the ceremony. So we had a very filling dinner and drove past Tian An Men Square on the way to the hotel. Beijing's night scene is just so cool! All the buildings had lights and when everything was lit up, it looked like everywhere was an Orchard Road! All the different colours just made it even better! We stayed at Holiday Inn Chang An West Beijing.. I shared a room with Claire, and all so coincedentally, we got the room next to Ms Leong and Lin Lao Shi. We had to share one bloody big king sized bed! And on the second day, we headed to Temple of Heaven early in the morning. It's really big man! The details are very fine as well.. We then headed to Summer Palace, which was apparently a birthday present for Empress Dowager Cixi. It had a beautiful garden! There was this really really long corridor, and apparently Cixi tai hou liked walking up and down it. ... ain't that boring? We then went to a tea house to drink tea and I got two types of tea for my dad, who really likes drinking tea. Next day, we attended school! We went in before the flag raising ceremony, so we were walking and everyone was staring. So paiseh. I met my buddy, Gong Xiao(smile) Yuan(affinity), and we had science. It was something around the lines of reaction and your nerves. Didn't understand a single word, cuz they just had to say it so fast. Like a train or something. We had lunch in the classroom, and the brilliant form teacher dumped LOTS and LOTS of food on the plates of our two roses, Kuan Wei and Colin. Couldn't stop laughing until Colin got so pissed with me.. ^.^ We visited a book shop, or rather a building, which was about 4 stories? Ended up hunting for history books for Qinrong's dad. Got myself Daughtry newest album, cuz the rest of the books didn't exactly interest me. We had the famous Peking Duck for dinner! Tasted really good. We were supposed to wrap it up in some skin thingy and eat it like popiah, and Cheryl, the evil lil git, made a mess of hers. When I made a pretty looking one for her, she ended up ruining it even more. Bleah! We had an acrobatic show which was more like a kungfu show before heading to the hotel. Then came the fourth day! Ms Leong had gastric so Ms Lam took over our group! We had super easy english, followed my chinese and then p.e. We played tug-of-war with another class for p.e.! We then had this art thingy and I made this acceptable looking horse, but i just ruined it by painting it.. ahh.. screwy. We then went to a cloisonne factory, which creates vases and all that. I got my mum a nice and pretty necklace.. ^.^ We then went to Wang Fu Jing Street, where there was all kinds of food in the world. Cocoons, sea horses, even duck blood soup! Freaked me out to no end. There was even this foreign language bookstore! Time flew and it was the fifth day! We went to school again and had chinese and math lesson. We then went to the audi to watch the Qian Shou Guan Yin, which was performed by a couple of handicapped. It was very very nice! Collected my soil figure, and then the class organised a farewell party for us! We even went up to recite Ai Lian Shuo, something we were made to memorise. And well, we went to Xiu Shui Plaza, the home of imitation products! We for presents for the 6L people in Singapore and I got my sister a real cool shirt! Had dinner, and we collected these name chops that at usually used for calligraphy. Sugoi! Then came the sixth day. We visited this Jade factory thingy, and I got my sister a name chop! Following that,we climbed the great wall! Was really high, and we didn't exactly have very long to climb.. I got this plaque thingy to prove I climbed 888m of the great wall! The air's really cold up there, and the scenery is worth dying for! Got down the wall and headed to the Ming Tombs, to one of the tombs of the Emperors. Its a bit of a waste to bury someone using so much space. I'd so much rather be buried the Mongolian way! We also when to an orchard to pluck apples! And I'm so becoming the next Newton, cuz I got hit on the head by two apples when plucking it for Qinrong! We then went to Lao She Teahouse, where there were traditional performances, and my favourite was this shadow performance thingy.. so kawaii! Next day, we visited the Forbidden City! We walked through Tian An Men Square first before going there. Took pretty group photos! And well, forbidden city was super big, with 9999 rooms. Big right? We went to the Planterium to watch some space show thingy.. most of the people fell asleep. I was trying my very best to stay awake lah, but still dozed off here and there. We then became stuffed turkeys cuz we ate our dinner at a bloody early 4.30! And then it was the last day! We went to Sony Explorascience early in the morning! That place is like super cool! There was all the new technology and stuff, just loved it. Especially the shadow machine thingy, where you make the shadow then the computer will show the image. But I got rather annoyed sometimes.. when I was trying to make the crab, they gave me a crocodile. When I was trying to make two birds, they gave me a crocodile. Super annoyed.. Then we left for the airport, and waited for very long to board the plane. I was seated beside the window, with Mr and Mrs Kwek on my other side. Mr Kwek had this idea to make me the 'baby' and spoke to me like a real baby.. o.o he even looked through the Kris Shop thingy and ask me if I wanted those toy bears. We had dinner there as well. I watched Transformers and High School Musical.. Was uber tired when I came out of the plane man!Anyways, today I went to Andrea's house for a party! It was a 4L reunion plus celebration for Hsin Pei's birthday, which is tomorrow! I went there with Andrea, Hsin Pei and Xiaohan. We, well ate, chatted, teased, played, and ran about. We even had a cake for hsin pei! They also booked the tennis courts, and they played tennis.. so fun!Anyways, here are some photos of Beijing.. Enjoy! EDIT 301007: I meant to post them in this post, but there are far too many photos. Go to my photobucket account to view the photos. [LINK] Enjoy! Labels: hebeecons |

Vanity isn't a sin, a little narcissm wouldn't hurt.raffles girls' school 13 years old january04 1995 living life and loving it! singapore I'm a very odd and random person, and very fussy about my capitalisations, spelling and punctuation. Not that it's always right or something, I just like to put in that extra effort to make it look better. Okay, that's just to sound good. It's a habit. I'm terribly sacarstic if you're bitching to me online and I'm dead tired. I try to be nice, but when I'm all tired, I'll just disappear offline. I'll always disappear or be MIA sometimes, and that because I'm probably asleep on the sofa or on the floor, or that I'm eating or watching the tv. (: This blog was started in P4, with much credit to Qinrong who started it for me, who was a deprived turtle at that time who didn't listen to songs and all. But I think I'm way better now. (: I'm in love with random english, japanese and occasionally chinese songs. Tenimyu will always be on the top of my favourites list, because its all so cool and stuff. (: Current favourites include Arashi(and their lovely new single, truth) and Kat-tun(their new album, Queen of Pirates... :]). (: Black has been on the list since P5, and will remain there for as long as I can make it stay. (: santa? I'm wishing for a white christmas - Get an iPhone! - Replacement for my peeling and too-small pencil case - New wallet, because it's brownish and all - CDs! <3 (Or songs, rather.) - Get up to making a new blogskin! - Grow my hair long again (I kinda miss it) - YOUR TAG! <3 |

Chatspeak is unappreciated and uncool. Vulgarities are unwelcomed and so are hurtful things. Being anonymous keeps you unknown and unappreciated. Stay nice. That'll be the least uncool thing to do. <3 |
